Performance of Rolled Erosion Control Products (RECPs) as Bioswale Revetments

چکیده
Vegetated swales, or bioswales, are among the most commonly used type of green infrastructure (GI) for managing stormwater in temperate climate regions. However, performance data on bioswale drainage technology applied to highly weathered soils (low fertility, high acidity, and erosion prone) tropical subtropical climates still limited. Aimed at closing this gap, research investigated performance—assessed terms vegetation biomass, biodiversity coverage swale, structural integrity revetments, control potential—and cost effectiveness five rolled products (RECPs) currently available market, combination with herbaceous as revetment soils. Additionally, project evaluated a new preseeded RECP, Preseeded Reinforcement Mat, areas that difficult access. The performances all six RECPs were generally adequate revetments conditions investigated, index values ranging from 6 10 0 scale. At same time, some more conducive growth regional species, measured biodiversity, which ranged 2 14 species different effective than others, costs 19% 106% concrete lined swales.

Water Impingement Erosion of Deep-Rolled Ti64
In this work, the Liquid Impingement Erosion (LIE) performances of deep-rolling (DR) treated and non-treated Ti64 were investigated. Various erosion stages, from the incubation to the terminal erosion stages, could be observed. A full factorial design of experiments was used to study the effect of DR process parameters (Feed Rate, Spindle Velocity, Number of Passes, Pressure) on the residual st...

Wind erosion is considered a major global environmental problem. Dust storms from the migration of sand dunes can seriously damage civil, industrial, and agricultural areas and a method to stabilize these sand dunes is mulching. The present study investigates the feasibility of using organic wastes of Press mud and Dunder with clay for the production of environmentally-friendly mulches. Sandy s...

متن کاملThe Use of Vanadium in Flat Rolled Products
Figure 1, compiled from data in the US Geological Survey indicates that, in 2004, 94% of vanadium used was consumed by the steel industry and 6% by all other uses. Figures 2 and 3 show data on steel production and vanadium consumption over a number of past years. Figure 2 indicates that in 2004 steel production reached a record level of 1.036 billon tonnes, driven largely by increases in steel ...
